The previously unnamed rainmaker storm set to wash out weekends up and down the East Coast now has a name - Tropical Storm Ophelia. With maximum sustained winds of 60mph, Ophelia - previously Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen - will likely make landfall along the North Carolina coast Saturday morning before traveling inland, however, the storm's impacts, particularly rainfall, will be wide reaching. What does that mean for Rhode Island? Rain. And lots of it. According to the National Hurricane Center, Southern New England, including Rhode Island, can expect between 2 and 4 inches of rain Friday night through Sunday.
