Second-seeded Eastern Connecticut State scored four runs in the sixth inning, then held off a ninth-inning comeback bid by third-seeded Southern Maine to remain undefeated in the Little East Conference baseball tournament with a 4-2 win Thursday at Providence, Rhode Island. USM (18-20) outhit the Warriors 13-10 but was held scoreless until a two-out rally in the ninth. Doubles by Chris Quigley and Tom Vesosky and a triple by Kyle Douin brought the potential tying run to the plate, but Jason Komulainen struck out to end the game.
