Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) is seeking public comment on intent to issue a Categorical Exclusion. The Director of the Rhode Island Department of Health has reviewed for approval the request by the City of East Providence Water Utilities Division for a Categorical Exclusion determination for proposed improvements to their public water system. The improvements will be financed using Drinking Water State Revolving Loan funds and consist of cleaning and lining of approximately 60,000 linear feet of cast iron water mains, replacement of approximately four miles of existing old and undersized water mains with ductile iron water mains, the complete replacement of approximately 16 known lead service lines with new copper piping from the water main to the meter, and pavement resurfacing.
