(Shutterstock)RHODE ISLAND — The Major League Baseball draft was this week, and four players with connections to the Ocean State were selected.Dominic Perachi, 320th pick, and Ben Brutti, 333rd pick, were the first of the bunch selected. Both were chosen in the 1th round. Perachi, a left-handed pitcher who completed his junior year at Salve Regina this past year, will join the Pittsburgh Pirates farm system. Brutti, the most recent Rhode Island Gatorade Player of the Year, was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds.
