This is photo of Henry Barnard School on Rhode Island College's campus. (WLNE) PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island College said Thursday that the historic elementary school on its campus will be moving out. John Taraborelli, a spokesperson for RIC, said that on March 1, Henry Barnard School informed the college it wouldn't be renewing its lease on the building. Taraborelli said that in 2020, Henry Barnard School signed a one-year lease with four one-year renewal options. The 125-year-old school will be relocating to Providence Country Day's East Providence campus.
